Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Global Risk Manager to join our Finance team in Cypress, CA. The Global Risk Manager will be responsible for developing a strong Global GRC framework and Enterprise-Wide / Integrated Risk Management approach. Will liaise with and oversee all businesses unties GRC across regions and foster the global GRC community engagement in sharing experiences and benchmarks.

What you'll be doing:
- Develop the global EW-IRM methodology, policies, and tools, commensurate with the aggregate risk profile, whilst addressing region's idiosyncrasies.
- Ensures the organization's non-financial risk management policies, limits, and strategies are following applicable regulations, and strategic imperatives of the organization.
- Oversees and monitors non-financial risk management activities of the organization and business unities.
- Provide advice, challenge, and support to business units to drive proactive and effective risk management.
- Liaise with other financial risk overseers to integrate the risks and enhance the risk, internal control and compliance program and system.
- Establish a regular awareness campaign and training to embed risk management into the corporate culture.
- Support the GRC assessment, the definition of KRIs, and monitor trends, incidents, and breaches. Define local action plans, and support and follow-up region's countermeasures.
- Define and monitor the execution of the regions' internal control monitoring plan (ICMP). Undertake the organization's Monitor local and challenge the region's action plan effectiveness and progress for failed controls.
- Develop periodic and ad hoc reporting of the non-financial risk exposure, as well as related losses and Liaise with regulatory authorities, internal and external audits.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Risk, Accounting, or Finance required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience in banking, financial services, or a related
- 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Governance, or Audit.
- 3+ years in a leadership role
- Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification is a
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, internal controls, and risk management frameworks like ISO 31001, COSO, COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST, CSIRT, and/or ITIL.
- Experience with local and international GRC
- Proficiency in written and spoken
- Flexibility to travel frequently across business units
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships across Yamaha's global business units.
- Adaptability to a dynamic work environment with short-term
- High level of personal integrity and the ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism and maturity.
