FP&A Analyst I

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Financial Planning Analyst I in our Kennesaw, GA office. FP&A Analyst role is responsible for analyzing and reporting on Yamaha's Motor Corporation results. Strong excel skills and prior financial reporting / consolidation a must

What you'll be doing:

  • Analyze actual business performance compared to established targets and forecasts while understanding the primary drivers for the financial and operational results.
  • Work closely with Major Business Units to identify and explain discrepancies while assisting in developing strategies for improvement and growth.
  • Develop, compile and distribute KPI scorecards to management communicating summarized key insights to drive forward looking strategic planning and decision making.
  • Provide benchmark data, financial targets, financial trends used to develop budget and financial forecasts.
  • Develop/prepare weekly and monthly material for presentations.
  • Develop and continuously improve forecasts and financial models to project ongoing operations.
  • Provide analysis and variance reporting against various forecasts, budgets, or actual results.
  • Responsible for ongoing improvement in financial reporting/presentations for YMUS and Parent company in Japan.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to identify trends and opportunities within the organization to lower costs and improve operations, maintenance and spending trends.
  • Develop financial reporting that visualizes the cost structures for various operating units and helps drive improvements in profitability that lowers level for break-even.
  • Support establishing and ongoing improvements to financial/operational reporting for offsite manufacturing facilities.
  • Must have demonstrated ability communicating key financial messages utilizing all tools available (charts, graphs, tables, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) in a variety of financial presentations.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • BA / BS degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA/CMA/MBA are all a plus.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience, including prior financial analysis experience.
  • Prior manufacturing finance or cost accounting experience is a must.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and ERP (SAP preferred) system expertise.
  • Team Player with a can-do attitude
