Parts & Accessories Specialist II

Yamaha is seeking a Parts & Accessories Specialist II for our facility in Kennesaw, GA. The Parts & Accessories Specialist II supports parts operations, dealer engagement, and product support initiatives with a strong emphasis on education, inventory optimization, and catalog accuracy. This role plays a key part in promoting the value and proper use of Genuine Yamaha Parts through dealer training and communication while supporting inventory strategy, product lifecycle management, and cross-functional coordination. This position partners closely with Sales, Service, Product, and Supply Chain teams to improve dealer success through operational excellence, training, and process improvements-while maintaining minimal to no direct sales responsibility.

What you'll be doing:

  • Monitor inventory performance and recommend adjustments to optimize availability and reduce obsolescence.
  • Identify gaps in inventory assortment and recommend improvements based on dealer demand and usage trends, and support development of parts kits to improve service efficiency and parts fit-up rates.
  • Work with internal teams to develop dealer communications and materials, pushing dealer education initiatives and promoting the benefits of Genuine Yamaha Parts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics) to improve and maintain order fill rates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve back-orders, parts shortages, order discrepancies, and supplier-related issues to minimize service disruptions.
  • Monitor program performance, identifying variances, inconsistencies, and risks while highlighting opportunities for optimization.
  • Assist with parts lifecycle management, including new product introductions and end-of-life transitions.
  • Assist in coordination and maintenance of the MRP/Watercraft Parts Catalog.
  • Exercises independent judgment in conducting analyses, interpreting data, and identifying trends, with limited oversight on day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Recommends data-driven insights and solutions to support pricing, profitability, and program decisions, while final decision authority remains with leadership.
  • Prioritizes and manages assigned projects and analytical workstreams, escalating risks, inconsistencies, or complex issues as needed.

What you need to be successful:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's preferred)
  • 2-5 years of experience in parts operations, inventory management, or supply chain
  • Strong Communication skills, particularly in training or dealer support environments
  • Experience working cross-functionally across multiple teams
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in power sports, marine, automotive, or OEM Environments
  • Familiarity with Yamaha products or Genuine Yamaha Parts
  • Experience with Parts Catalog systems or product data management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of Key Metrics such as fill rate, Inventory Turns, and parts attachment (fit-up)
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10-20%
