Event Specialist II - CA, GA

We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Marketing Events Specialist. This position can be based out of Cypress, CA or Marietta, GA. The Marketing Events Specialist is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of Yamaha Financial Services-sponsored and hosted events. This role ensures all events align with corporate objectives, reflect brand standards and values, drive meaningful engagement, and deliver a high level of customer service. In addition to event execution, the position provides secondary support across both digital and traditional marketing initiatives to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of all events, meetings, and programs, including order placements, BEOs (Banquet Event Orders), vendor sourcing and management, contract coordination, travel planning, event timelines and schedules, attendee tracking, registration management, event materials and asset coordination, communication development, budget tracking, invoicing, and post-event After Action Reviews (AARs).
  • Coordinate and execute activation-specific activities from concept through completion for corporate-sponsored dealer and consumer events, with a focus on increasing brand awareness, driving retail application, strengthening dealer engagement, and enhancing the end-user experience.
  • Support on-site event execution, including setup, vendor oversight, run-of-show management, and real-time troubleshooting to deliver a professional and engaging event experience.
  • Create and manage event-related communications and materials, collaborating closely with marketing subject matter experts to ensure consistent messaging, brand alignment, and high-quality production across all touchpoints.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned events, leading cross-functional coordination with internal stakeholders, external partners, venues, and vendors to ensure seamless execution and issue resolution before, during, and after events.
  • Partners with respective business unit teams to actively support and integrate into consumer and dealer events, ensuring alignment with business objectives, brand standards, and overall event strategy.
  • Track event performance and engagement metrics, consolidating insights and feedback to inform reporting, AARs, and continuous improvement for future events.
  • Provide general marketing support as needed, including but not limited to digital initiatives, CRM, communications, research, strategic planning support, and administrative tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Role will have the authority to discuss negotiation points for event marketing costs with vendors/internal partners, based on department manager's direction.
  • Work both independently and within a team in executing daily activities.
  • Contribute new ideas and participate in developing marketing strategy for events, products, and campaigns.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing and event coordination, with demonstrated success supporting or executing corporate, dealer, or consumer events.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and perform well under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in execution and follow-through.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with event management or CRM tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20%, including occasional evenings or weekends as required by event schedules.

Pay: $61,000 - $116,000

Yamaha intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related experience. Base pay is part of Yamaha's Total Reward program, our Talent Acquisition Team will share more details as candidates progress.
