Sr Mgr Global Business Process Improvement

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Manager of Global Business Process Improvement to join our Financial Services teams in Cypress, CA. The Sr. Manager of Global Business Process Improvement will be responsible for driving transformation, cross-regional initiatives that optimize processes and accelerate the company's strategic goals. Acting as a trusted advisor to execute leadership, this role ensures seamless alignment, transparent communication, and disciplined execution across diverse business units and geographies. Success in this position requires exceptional ability to navigate global complexity, foster collaboration at all organizational levels, and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and scalability-on time and within scope.
What you'll be doing:
• Liase with local and global teams to evaluate existing processes across regions for efficiency, compliance, and scalability.
• Redesign workflows to align with global standards while accommodating local regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all process improvement initiatives support the global financial services objective and regional business strategies.
• Engage stakeholders at all organizational levels-from executives to operational teams.
• Moderate and facilitate work groups to obtain relevant inputs for improving the business processes.
• Analyze end-to-end processes to uncover inefficiencies, control gaps, and streamlining opportunities.
• When applicable, use data-driven insights to prioritize high-impact improvements.
• Develop strategies to manage organizational change across different cultures and regions.
• Promote a continuous collaborative improvement in mindset globally.
• Define and track metrics for process effectiveness, cost reduction, risk mitigation, and customer experience.
• Report progress and outcomes to senior leadership.
• Assess business unities' governance structures for process ownership and accountability.
• Liaise with lines of defense to drive ongoing reviews and refinements to maintain process relevance and efficiency
What you'll need to be successful:
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience leading enterprise-level business process improvement, transformation, or operational excellence initiatives within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex, cross-regional initiatives with measurable outcomes related to efficiency, cost reduction, risk mitigation, scalability, or customer experience.
Strategic & Analytical Skills
• Proven ability to assess end-to-end business processes, identify inefficiencies and control gaps, and translate findings into practical, scalable solutions.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including the ability to interpret financial statements, understand cost drivers, and evaluate the financial impact of process changes.
• Experience defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics and using data-driven insights to prioritize initiatives and track results.
Leadership & Influence
• Proven track record of partnering directly with executive leadership and senior stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a highly matrixed, global organization without direct authority.
• Strong facilitation skills, with experience leading cross-functional working groups and aligning stakeholders across competing priorities.
Change Management & Global Perspective
• Experience leading change management efforts across diverse cultures, regions, and regulatory environments.
• Ability to balance global standardization with local business and regulatory requirements.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity while maintaining disciplined execution.
Communication & Executive Presence
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information and present clearly to senior leadership.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels.

Pay:
$133,000 to $286,000
Yamaha intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related experience. Base pay is part of Yamaha's Total Reward program, our Talent Acquisition Team will share more details as candidates progress.
